I'm also having a problem with the Ford Gem.  My problem has to do with the doors unlocking.   For some reason, sometimes the doors will just not unlock.  It doesn't happen all the time but it happens enough to make me wanna hurt someone.  I never have a problem when locking the doors, that works 100%.  I have taken it to the dealer several times but no luck.  One time they set it to double pulse and that worked for three weeks straight the all of sudden just stop working consistantly.  Someone please help me

tell them that you have what is called slam locks they need to interupt the yellow \ black door trigger along with the unlock wire cause the car locks up after about 30 minutes and will not unlock hope this helps

You need to wake up the Gems module so the doors will unlock. Common problem with Fords. Easiest way is to pulse the drivers door pin wire to ground when you unlock it. Opening the door wakes the Gems module up. Easy fix, I wonder why they are making it so hard.
