All passlock 2 system can be bypassed with 2 diodes. Cheap, easy and works all the time!

Here's how to do it.

You can use a relay if you dont want to lose your passlock 2 permanently.

Enjoy !

thanks for the "tip" .... although i feel it would be received better if posted on a Backyard Mechanics forum

Interesting posted_image. Can you please explain the diagram to us non-believer's and how 2 diodes work on the WHITE wire, when all other diagrams for bypassing tell you to add resistors to the cut YELLOW wire ?

You don't get to work in my bay, if you bypass an OEM anti-theft permanently.

As weak of a system PL is ( 1 or 2), it should still function as the OEM intended, when the RS is not activated.

Do you duct tape transponder bows to key barrels also ?

Pretty funny derek123,

If you wanna by a 50$ module to do you passlock job then do it!

I done about 20 car with this method and never had problem with the passlock anymore,

and by the way, I active this part of the circuit with the ground out of the RS so the passlock is still there...

I got this tip from a 30 yrs of experience technician.

I'm just giving it to those interested, if you're here to critic then just dont use it and dont pretend that it doesnt work!

Well I aint taking a chance messin up a customers car. I dont feel like having to replace an ecm or something. I'd much rather use a 555l or a pldata, they're so easy to use. I'd rather fork out the 25 bucks or so for the module than to take a chance frying the cars computer.

As you can see, no current can reach the ECU since the diode is there, unleast you reach the reverse voltage that is about 400V, so there no chance you can "fry the ecu" like you said.

Then explain how (AND WHY) your method works then. Inquiring minds wanna know!!
