I just installed a CODEALARM TW1 into my 1997 Acura 3.2 TL.  The problem I have is with the factory alarm.  Arming the car wortks fine, the doorlock output from the alarm is wired to the factory lock and alarm arm wires.  The DISARM is the problem.  The CODEALARM has an output for factory alarm disarm when using the remote starter, but this does not disarm when the CODEALARM is disarmed.  SO if I wire the CODEALARM's door unlock to the factory unlock and the CODEALARM's alarm disarm output to the factory alarm disarm, the remote start works fine but the factory alarm does not disarm when the CODEALARM is disarmed.  If I wire BOTH the codealarm's door unlock and alarm disarm together to botht the factory disarm and unlock wires, then the factory alarm disarms when the CODEALARM is disarmed, but it also unlocks the doors when the remote start is activated and doesn't re-lock them.  Can I wire the two up separately and put a relay between them that would activete a signal to factory disarm from both CODEALARM leads, but NOT activate unlock then the remote start disarm lead is activated?  If anyone understands this big convoluted message PLEASE give some help!  Thanks in advance.....

The disarm wire is WHITE/ green, I found that I can get the car to disarm, the problem is avoiding the unlock when starting, so I need to isolate to two circuits, but still allow the unlock signal to pass to the disarm side.  But thanks.  The only option for the ddorlocks in the manual is for ignition control  I set it to ON just now, and that works for dirving the car, but not when the remote start is activated.  I need to find a way to either not have to unlock the doors but still disarm during remote start and unlock/disarm during alarm disarm.

Anybody please....already tired of having to disarm and re-arm after I remote start to lock the doors.... Ignition control locking isn't working right, programmed it three times and not locking.  Would rather not have them unlock at all.....

I'm guessing now that a diode will work between these two circuits, would that be correct?

Just grabbed a diode from one of the engineers in my office....wired it up worked great.  Thanks to this site even though it wasn't direct help, other info led me to that, just glad it all works now!!!
