I just installed a remote start system on a 2002 tahoe everything is working fine except the radio stays on when I stop the truck via remote. dose any one know what i can do to make sure the radio cuts off when i remote stop the tahoe?

You probably have some residual current in your second ignition wire. Did you hook up the WHITE wire to your second ignition wire on the RS unit via a relay ?

This is General Motors' RAP (Retained Accessory Power) feature.  It allows you to continue playing the radio (and operate the power windows) until you exit the car.

The RAP times out after fifteen minutes, so it won't hurt anything to just leave it alone.  The radio won't stay on long enough to drain the battery.

If your remote starter has a "ground pulse after shutdown" output, tie it into one of the Tahoe's door trigger wires at the BCM.  (Driver's door is tan; blue/white does the other doors).  This will "trick" the BCM into thinking you've opened the door, thus shutting off the radio.
