does anyone know where the speed sense  and reverse wire are located in a BMW 528i   1997?

gunna do a Alpine navi in a couple days

I don't know exactly, but one way of getting a clean VSS is to grab the wheel sensor for the ABS (It should have ABS).  There'll be 2 wires, pick one.

check behind the speedometer cluster for a WHITE/ black wire, probably on the tach side of the cluster. Thats where I found it in a 2002 M3 Convertible.

It may also be in the radio harness on some models.
