Hello,
I purchased a 99 Grand Am about four months ago and it was working fine until last week. It started off when I tried to start the car, the security light would flash and about 15 minutes later the car would start fine. Now I can't get the car to start at all and the security light is still flashing. Someone told me this might be a problem with the lock cylinder, however he didn't sound too confident.
Any help to get my car started would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a Passlock II problem. I suggest taking it back to the dealership for a diagnostics hook up and see what the problem really is.
