I just finished installing my new Viper 791XV into my 88' Mitsu Starion.

I'm having issues getting the remote start system to work.
When I press the orange "*" button and the only thing that happens is that after a second or two, the remote will beep three times with the signal indecator blinking with the beeps.

I checked the diagnostics and the LED blinks 6 times referring to wires H3/3 Grey and H3/4 Brown.
Now, the wiring illistration for the harness' shows that H3/2 is grey, and H3/3 is brown. ???

To the best of my knowledge I have the brake wire connected correctly, and the system learned the tach signal quite quickly, that is after I closed the hood. posted_image

Any ideas?
Thanks.

The manual says press the orange botton, but you have to press the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for it to start.  Give it a try

Do it right the first time

factory default says push orange button twice, not once, i fixed mine to start with a single push of the orange button.

-the asterisk/orange button is regular remote start, the unlk+lk is timer mode(will start up every other 3hrs).

-make sure hood pin is not being ground. nuetral safety wire (BLACK/ white) is seeing ground. lastly brake wire is not being seen by 12volt when remote start.
