Hi;

I installed an autopage rs850. I set it up to passively lock the doors. Any idea how I can make it so that it wont passive lock (doors wont lock) if the keys are left in the Ignition?

Thanks

Pat

The alarm should have a program sequence you can perform to change this setting.  Check the manual.

ok now we are cooking with crisco.....

first you should be able to change the programming so that: 1. the alarm will not set unless you press the button. 2. the alarm will set but not lock the doors.

you may be able to use the following:

Ign Key Warn BLUE/BLACK (-) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS

run a wire from the above location to the door trigger wire...diode isolate each wire.
im sure if you will a strong enough ground from the above wire to prevent the alarm from arming...

post your finding....

Better yet hook the key sense wire to an usused input on the alarm (maybe a hood or trunk pin input). If you do connect it to the door trigger input you will need to add some diodes or else the domelight will come on every time the key is in the ignition.
