I'm wiring a dei 6500 remote star alarm in a manual car, but I don't want to hook up or use the remote start.  Is it ok to use the yellow wire of the 5pin remote start ribon harness labeled (+) ignition input to alarm, zone 5 so the brain knows when the car has been started so it can clear the last trigger codes and enter the learn routine?  Thanks.

Forgot to mention, it will be hooked up to a +12v switched wire, will that work?
