I installed a Viper 791XV on my Infiniti G35 and everything is working great. But I have a question on the dual polarity door lock wires. Since each wire puts out both a positive & negative (+ lock & - unlock for one wire and vice versa for the other), wouldn't there be a short if the alarm was trying to lock the doors while I was unlocking them from the car at the same time?
I thought a diode on each wire would prevent this, but when I installed them, I noticed strange behavior. The locks would work fine until a couple of minutes after arming and then they wouldn't work.
Since this car uses extended pulses on the lock wires to raise and lower the windows, I would think there would be a greater chance of putting + and - on the wire at the same time. i.e. if I have a 10 second neg. pulse on the lock wire rolling the windows up and I disarm during that time a + would be sent out on the same lock wire.

it shouldnt damage anything but if you want to you can use the 451m that comes with it. it has a 10 inline fuse. just use the blue/black, GREEN/ black the same as youd use the green and blue. cap off the WHITE/ black and BROWN / black. take purple to 12v.

What year G35, and is it a coupe or sedan? The sedans are (-) pulse but the coupes are 5 wire and you will have to use the 451M as sroth stated, but you will have to use WHITE/ black and BROWN / black as well as the blue/black, GREEN/ blank and purple wires.

It's a 2004 Coupe. I've connected the blue & green doorlock wires to the drivers door key cylinder switch. I've also connected the channel 4 & 5 wires to the same wires for windows up/down.
