I recently installed this alarm in my 95 acura integra, everything is working fine, except the remote start function. I hooked up the ebrake sensor wire, brake sensor wire, and everything else that suppose to make the car remote start, when i push button II the lights on the dash lights up but no starting. I was told i had to short the clutch sensor out, which I did and still nothing, also I stayed in the car with my foot on the clutch while i tried to remote start and nothing, anyone know what im doing wrong???

Did you get the system into ready mode prior to trying to start the car with the foot on the clutch ?

How many times do the lights flash?

and lol.. short the clutch sensor out.. who on earth told you to do that.. posted_image

If the lights light up and stay on for a few seconds... It seems like its trying to start.. perhaps you wired the starter kill relay backwards.. yellow/black goes keyside.. yellow goes engine side..

i think he meant shorting out the clutch switch by connect the two wire together to complete a circuit.

i would second his opinion and check to see if you wire the starter kill relay corectly

and like jeff said, b4 bypassing the clutch test it out and it has to be in "ready mode", meaning the E-brake(-) has to be connected. read more about this ready mode sequence you have to go through to get it to start.

good luck!!!!

I think it might be the starter kill that i put backwards, going to check that out tonight. But to make it start I do have to bypass the clutch still right??

-yes you do. but i would try to get all the other components to work first b4 jumpin into the clutch so it its one less component you have to worry about when you run into trouble along the line of installations.
-you can manually depress the clutch and remote start it.

Personally, I'd setup a relay using the (-) starter output off the compustar to jump the clutch wires together.. that way you still need to push it down when starting manually.. safety is good :)
