Subject: Adding Remote Start to OEM

Hi, I have an Accord, 1998 EX with remote entry, trunk and OEM alarm. I would like to add remote start functionality and keep all the "oemness" e.g. remote start using the OEM keychain. For instance, hit the unlock and lock twice to start the car. Is there any module/unit/device out there that can do such a thing?
Thanks,
Daich

yes, valet 561t and couple of other ones. you can search on ebay.
the downside is that when you have it installed, ur remote wont work when the ignition is on.

try stickin ur key inside the cylinder, it wont let you use the remote at all cause it sense the key and it shuts off the keyless funcions.

however i manage to bypass the "keysense". if youre to remember whenever you stick ur key in w/o turning, it start to beep from the dash and thats what i bypass. iono if you can do it on the 98 model cause the one that i did was a 96 accord.

accually, it ignores the remote if it see's ignition on, there's a yellow wire at the keyless module that you need to interupt during remote start.

i meant to say shut "out" the keyless entry. i guess that yellow wire is the keysense wire then. thanks for the info extreme
