I just added a piezo siren to the inside of my car in addition to the regular 6-tone under the hood.  I used a relay and had no problem wiring it all together.  It took me a while to figure out what wires to tap for power and such since all the alarm wires were previously wrapped in wire tape.  Now that everything is all connected, what is the best way to go about hiding all the wires.   I dont want someone to just rip the red wire and have the whole thing useless.  It will be extremely hard ot tape all the wires again since they all are up in tight, hard to reach areas.  Should I use wire loom?

Also, I noticed that if a theif's ears can handle the pizeo siren under the dash, the brain is in somewhat plain sight.  There is very little slack with all the wires so I really cant move it much.  What is the best way to cover that up as well?

Thanks for all your help.   Eric

hide the brain somewhere in the dash.. like behind

I was just tihnking.....How hard would it be to make some kind of "shield" so that all of the wires are covered.  I mean so when you look under the dash all you see is a wall, some kind of material, maybe fiberglass that is removable, but would totally cover everything.  This way, it would be 1 more obstical that someone would have to deal with just to get to try and find the brain.

thats exactly what i was just thinking about... i've come up with the conclusion to install a piece of sheet metal so that i am able to slightly bend it and drill holes into it so that it will be able to take off when using nuts and bolts but unable to penatrate with a screw driver or wire cutters that the thiefs may use to try and pry it open.

what do you think?

add more shields is good... might as well somehow diable the power unlock button if you have one cuz that's an easy way to open the door.. once that is done then the theif has the open the door the hard way by jimming it which takes more time

how is it easier with the power lock?   do you mean by scanning the alarm code and unlocking it that way?
