I have had my CompuStar Alarm for just a little while say 2 months and now I have to press the button to lock and unlock it like a whole lot.. I don't understand.. is it my whole setup maybe wiring or.. could it be just my receiver? HELLPPP MEE!!!

have you tried to replaced the battery on the remote yet?

the only problem that we have had with the compustar's is their unrliable remotes...just have it changed, trust me. =)

Yeah the battery is full cells.. If I wiggle the antenna a lil' bit it helps but... I dunno.. Just gets a little aggervating I am more worried that it's not going to go off when it should.. Thanx Guys!posted_image

which antenna are you wiggling? the one on the remote or the one in the car? the one in the car you may be able to repair on your own, but not so easily the one on the remote. either way, it sounds like a warranty issue.

If i wiggle the antenna on the remote it tends to work better, but then again it may just be coincidence.. I dunno...

Also, if you have the SS model remote DO NOT attach metal to metal on the back ring connector. It is a flaw in the remote that can cause transmitting problems. The simple little fabric cord will give out. Alot of people will then directly connect the small back ring on the remote to the keychain. BAD! Also the new remotes are out! Cool looking! THE CLAW

I don't get it. On the one way remotes , the metal portion of the key is touching the key ring, which is in contact with the metal screw which is only in contact with the plastic on the remote. How does this affect the functioning of the remote? But the 2way may be different. =)

Hey, thanks so much for the help.. I attached my remote to a zip tie and then on to the key chain and now it works like a charm.. I don't understand it.. but.. who knows... waiting for my new remote anyway.. lol
