My car does not have a hood pin and I want to add a remote start, is there a way to trick the alarm brain
into seeing the hood pin without actually having to install one.

most ( all ?) RS come with a hood pin.

you get a "drill a hole some where " hoodpin with the RS, but you could sub in a different style of hood pin that's less intrusive, if you're hyper-picky.

yes, you can bypass it, but don't, as it is a safety feature, for your protection.

they also make brackets so that you dont have to drill a hole for the pin switch....

just buy a mercury switch........it's a lot easier and it doesn't rust out over time.
