Oil light in dash equal to tach wire?

Would the oil light in the dash of any car, be equal to a tach wire? Im installing a Thor alarm system, and usually remote start requires for you to find the tach wire. Thor doesnt, they want the oil light. So would the tach wire be equal to it?

if thats what they are calling for, then i would hook it up to that....

In the install manual, it said that it needs the oil light in the dash, just for its 12v source so that it knows that the car is on...
