i hear things like 5 wire door lock system...im lost, isnt it just 1 door lock wire and 1 unlock wire, then maybe some in the rear? is there any information that can help me learn the basics of alarm installs?

5 wire... is usually involves adding a relay...too lock/un-lock...

5-wire is when you have to isolate from the switch.......

Yes, you have to use a relay to interface with the 5 wire systems.
