hi everyone,

my friend has this alarm called "absolute" its model number is abs500. and she asked me to install it for her. but the problem is that she does not have the install manual. so i have no idea which wire is which. ANY help? please!

i tried to cross reference it with a viper esp500. and the 12 pin harnesses are the same. same wires in the same order also. could this work? im just a beginner in this. but im up for a challenge.

i've already done a search online for this brand of alarm system. and no one sells it except for two places. but they dont have this model number. can anyone tell me if they know where i can go to get the manual?

any help will be greatly appreciated,

p

From what I've read on here, a lot of different alarm systems use the same wires and setup...so yea, I bet you could probably do that.

You could also probably try to get install manuals for the other models (that you found?) and then cross reference it with those...which are more likely to be similar to the one you're trying to install (over a viper manual).  Good luck.

Who makes the Absolute....If it's by DEI, who makes Viper, Sidewinder, CLifford, Avital and the list goes on...you can use any install manual for the wiring codes..DEI keeps them the same
