im trying to get any  information on trouble shooting  pass key or if i can by pass it-car won't start. car is a 1988 trans am gta 5.0L

The car has VATS not Passkey, but what's the problem ?

The car won't start - need to know info to trouble shoot or if it can be bypassed

you need to measure the resistance in the chip that is in the head of the key. once youhave that info you wire teh right resistance in to bypass that feature.

you will need a meter. i digital will work the best. set it for resistance....it will give you a number..thats the resistance number.
