I'm new here and have just purchased the above alarm (before reading any of the posts here) - is this a mistake !! ??
I've got a UK Ford Escort XR3i Cabriolet and although I'll have a good go and fitting this as standard, I would like to know if I can wire a dual-proximity sensor to cover the roof/interior/exterior ??
Also, has any got the correct wiring for this alarm and my car - I've got central locking and power windows.
Any help would be grately appreciated before Wednesday, when I've gotta fit it ...

have just fitted one of these alarms to a mates car. all pretty straight forward, if you have a multi meter handy.
Only thing i didn't like about the alarm, is it doesn't have any sensors on the bonnet or boot.
you can add prox sensor, but you will have to fit protection diodes, if fitting inline with another sensor.
this alarm also has 6 tone siren.

I going to link the passenger door switch to the boot and bonnet switches that I've already got fitted. My last door (for passive arming) will be the driver's door - surprise surprise.
I've got plenty of test tools (mutlimedia, test lamp, etc etc) and have never had a problem fitting alarms or stereo/ICE kits before, but after reading some posts on the I'm worried about the number of wires that have to be connected throughout the car.
Let me get this straight - if I wanted to add the prox. sensor, it would have to go inline with another sensor ?? Such as ?? I though the brain had an free sensor port on it ready ??
I'd still like a wiring diagram/colour coding for my car if anyone can lay their hands on it.
