usually when i do window mondules for the alarm i mountthe module in the car and run all the window wires in the door which is a pain.. can i mount the module inside the door. is it bad to do that or will the weather get to it???if i do it this way all i have to run is the power and trigger wires much easier than all those other wires.

What I have done when mounting the modules in the door is to encapsulate the modules to protect against weather, for example: put the modules in a heavy plastic liner/bag and seal the bag around the wire harnest, which I also loom/tape. I haven't had problems doing it this way.  I have fixed cars where modules were installed in the doors, not protected, and failed because of water damage.

Also, some door panels have enough room to hide the modules, then put it there that way they are outside the door and won't be affected by weather.
