I im installing a Panther Remote Start/Alarm Security System in a 1998 Toyota Tacoma. It has three wires that need to go to a 12v power source. Would I be able to hook all three of these to the ignition power source? Or would that blow a fuse, and if so, is there anywhere else that I can hook these up to?

I have an amplifier hooked up, could i just tap into the amp power cable (from battery)?

Any help is greatly appreciated. As you can see, i'm kind of new in this area of cars.

I've connected it to ignition power source a trillion times without problems.

Ignition is a sufficient power source. If you want to go straight to the battery, then run an isolated fused power line, not tapped into the power line for the amp.

Personally, I almost always run a line to the battery, but most cars I do an engine start on I am also doing windows and other accessories. I usally run a 10-12 awg fused power line as the source for the window modules and the remote start and all the positive power needed for relays.

If its just the engine start relays/module than the ignition is a sufficient power source
