If I have 2 30A relays connected to a 20A CB, obviously it is going to blow, but can I just get a 30A CB or do I need something bigger??

Thanks for the help!!!

at the moment I have the relays disconnected, but when I try to lock or unlock the doors with the factory power lock, the dome lights fade. The only thing that I have connected to the dome light switch is the alarm sensor for the door trigger. If I hold the lock button down I can hear the CB break. The only thing I can think of is that the 12V power that I spliced into in the ignition is also connected to the dome light and power door locks.

Have any other ideas

Thanks for the reply!!!

I think I may have connected my power doorlock trigger up the wrong way at first. I connected it up as if it were a 3 wire doorlock but it was a 5 wire. And according to the instructions for my alarm (Lynx 2000R) "it can cause damage." What kind of damage is it talking about? Is is something serious, or just a blown fuse or curcuit breaker?

first of all your door trigger cant be a 5 wire......door trigger is positive or neg. your door locks may be 5 wire. door locks are not the same as the door trigger........what kind of car do you have......

I found the wires, I just used the ones coming out of the driver side switch (Maybe this is the problem). The doors do not lock or unlock now. I also just used the power going to the factory switch to power the relays. When I have it all connected the 20A CB for the door locks gets very hot. SO I disconnected the relays. However, when I use the remote for the alarm to try and lock and unlock the doors, I can feel the relay switch, even though there is no power to the relay. This realy confuses me. When I try to use the switch on the door to lock or unlock the door I see the dome lights fade and I can hear the CB break. And the relays are still not connected.

Thanks for you help draasch, I really appreciate it!!!
Jeff
