Instead of starting the car, can it turn the car off as well? is that possible?I think the brand of mind is "CODEALARM" since it says that on the remote control thing...

In order for the car to be turned off you have to be able to have it running without the key in the ignition. Most RS units now on the market have a STO & GO function where you can press the remote start button on the remote and take the key out of the ignition and it still runs for the pre-programmed amount of time. Also, at any time during the removal of the key you can also cancel the running of the car by pressing the remote start button again. I hope this answered your question...... I think this was a continuation of another question you has in a previous post, but I'm not sure.

Yes, all aftermarket units start and turn off the vehicle. If you mean will it turn off a vehicle running normally with the key in the igntion, then no. However, you could add a relay to open the primary igniton lead or shut down some other electrical funtion necessary to keep the vehicle running.

I bought a Bulldog remote starter but i have a chip in my key that wont let me remote start it without the key in the ignition.  So I bought a 555U transponder to bypass that feature but it still doesn't work.  I hooked it up with the ignition ring provided but I think my truck (2001 Explorer Sport) has a factory ring with a factory transponder box.  I don't want to cut any wires to my ignition to hook up the 555U the alternate way without a professional saying its OK.  What do I do?

This may sound  stupid but did you put a spare key inside the 555u because i know for a fact that the 555U will work in your car.You have to have a spare key inside the unit for it to work!!!!

Hey Mobile.. im not doubting your knowledge when i say this bc your probably an installer, but.. what vehicles have you run into that wont start the car with a valet key? I have installed a couple of alarms using the passkey 3 and Honda's immobilizer on a 2001 Civic and i used the valet key just fine. ??

ok gpgtpoo well this was a misprint on my part and i was thinking of another module but in honda and acura some keys will not be able to be learned by a learning module so you will have to try another key like a valet or a second key.

I put the spare key that is exactly like my regular key (it has a chip in it) in the module.  What i was wondering was that in the instructions it said that i would have 2 wires coming from my factory ring but i have 4.  I didn't want to cut any wires that didn't need to be cut.
