Notes: To avoid the check engine light from coming on and possible damage to the automatic transmission, the second ignition in this vehicle MUST be powered when adding a remote start system.

I seen information in post / DEI note for a Chev Avalanche 2004 remote start.

Would this be the same for a 2003 GMC YUKON.

I have my check engine light on never had this befor . But I also have a service 4 wheel light on. Took to dealer for that it. It bad module in have a leak in the case. This happen befor check engine light.

Have this happin to any one or know about this.

yep truck take to long to shif it go into shop on monday. I'm going to put a relay on the acc wire output from my alarm in put on the white of the yukon.

Now when I use the remote start that wire will have 12vot on it. I hope the deal don't charge me to repair that. I have 27,000 miles on the truck.

The white wire must be powered as as ignition when remote starting, not an accessory. If you power it as an acc. you will probably have the same problems.

I was look @ some paper work

I will use a remot start neg output  bule wire from the alarm go to 86 of relay. 30 & 85 off relay 12 volt. 87 will send 12 vlot to the white wire of truck.

or in my case  Im useing a autopage rs-650 it have yellow wire that it put out neg 4 seconds before the remote start unit is initialized ,and remains ground while running I will take Yellow to pen 86 of relay. it neg out. pen 30 & 85 to 12 volt constant 25a fuse. pin 87 of relay will go on white wire of truck.
