i got a prestige car alarm ..i bought the car and it had this alarm..i am having troble with the car starting..i got all the remote wires there .the alarm has remote start ..i pulled all the remote start wires out from the factory wireing ..can some one please tell me how to hook them back up ...i tryed but the car only cranks and trys to start ..but no luck ..thanks rudy .....need help asap

CHECK ALL YOUR IGNITION WIRES FIRST...MAKE SURE ALL ARE POWERING UP...

Junior22, apart from the inginition wires, the alarm needs to read the tach reading properly from the car to stay running.  If the tach rate is not learned by the system, it will cut out almost immediately.  You need to ensure that the wire (usually red) is connected to the tach under the hood.  When this has been connected, you need to ensure that the alarm learns the rate.  This can be done automatically on some models or manually on others. I dont know what type you have.  Ensure that the appropariate wire is connected to your tach wire; it should work properly after that.

..the car is not starting w/ the key correct...at least this is what i got from your post...sooo ........ r.s.  learning the tach has nothing to do w/ it...correct...?do you have the wire schematics for your vehicle...?

well thanks for woorying about my shouting bobk...and after re-reading post he stated that he pulled all r/s wires then hooked them back up...awwwwww....ok...so the car is now not r/s...? correct...

Well......if he "hooked them back up"....then the car should in fact be remote starting.  That just seems logical. My interpretation is that the car, once remote started, shuts down. If that IS the case, then clearly it is an issue of tach learning. if the car is not starting with a KEY, then that is a wholly different issue, but that point is not clear.
