Hello everybody,

I just installed Python 881XP, and owner's manual says that chirp volume can be programmed to be either full volume or 6db quieter than the full alarm. But I cannot find anywhere how to do that?

Anybody know?

Thanks a lot, ket777

There is a black loop on the siren, if you cut the loop it will chirp louder.

Not sure about that model but they usally already come with the chirps 6db lower. The instruction are on the box for the siren.

Thank you, guys! I've cut the wire - chirps much louder. I guess I trashed the siren box too early...

I have another question though - manual says that I can eliminate any of the six different tones of the siren - resulting in only one.

Instructions on how to do that were also on the siren box? Because I cannot find them anywhere else...

Thanks again for your help!

to eliminate your tones you are going to have to open up your siren. on the circuit board there are six numbers each number represents a tone. for example tone number one is identified with a number 1, the second tone is marked as number 2 and so on. if you like tone number one you simply cut the electrical passages to tones 2,3,4,5,and6. i used an exacto knife for this procedure. if you like the third tone, simply cut 1,2,4,5,6. if you have more questions regarding the procedure let me know.
