I just got done installin a Panther alarm/remote start system in my 1998 Toyota Tacoma today.  However, I was unable to find the tachometer wire.  The alarm seems to work fine, but i'm unsure on whether I should try the remote start or not.  Can anyone give me some insight on this?

Thanks

The remote start will work if you have a "voltage sense" feature on the programming of the alarm.

for a tach wire on toyotas and lexus, go to the igniter.  use the black wire there, the igniter is located on the right side of engine compartment for V6 and on the left side for the 2.4L 4 cylinder. On the 2.7L 4 cylinder it will be located at the ECM behind the glove box or at the cluster.
