I have most of my stereo gear in the trunk so I was thinking of disable the trunk popper when the alarm is tripped.  My back seat doesn't fold down so if the trunk popper is disable, you have to use the key to open the trunk.  Have anybody done this before?  I plan on just using a relay and locate the trunk popper circuit and throw a relay in there.  Would this work?  thanks.

There are multiple ways to do this, but the best method I have done in the past is to hook the trunk pop up to ACC power, so unless the ignition is on the popper will not work, this also helps if you forget to arm the alarm or lock the vehicle. (it's that one time you forget  to arm it and you get ripped off)

Otherwise, most alarms have a (-) or (+) ouput when armed. Check the alarm guide to see if you have one, and using a relay, make it so anytime the alarm is armed it cuts power to the popper. Rather than have it only when the alarm is going off only.

I can't be much more help unless you post the vehicle and alarm.
