I have an older car with tall interior lock knobs that make it easy to open the doors with packing strip or similar. What I am wondering is, would it be a good idea to remove the lock knobs completly when I install remote central locking/keyless entry as they wont be needed. Suggestions?

I've seen somewhere ( can't remember where ) you can get replacement knobs that are low profile and also different shapes as well. You can cut the metal off too so that it's shorter.
