I am trying to install an alram in my buddy's car, and when i spliced in the wire for the trunk pin (org/blk @ light in trunk), it had a constant ground with the trunk opened and closed.  Does anyone have an idea where the actual pin is located?  I can't find it anywhere, to see if it is messed up.  I verified it with my meter on the siren option, then had the wife climb in and the light stayed on after the trunk closed.  Any ideas would br great.

ok that is what i already have from the diagram on this site.  but when i put a meter on the org/blk wire, i get continuity to ground with the trunk open and closed.  i need to know where to look for the ACTUAL pin switch so that i can attempt to fix it.  i.e. the light ALWAYS stays on (switch is stuck electrically closed).

ok here is what i found:  there is a proximity switch located on the left side of the trunk.  it had been taken off the trunk lid hinge, and tucked behind the carpet.  it was a little black module about the size and shape of a piece of bouble bubble gum.  once it was clipped back on to the trunk hinge arm, everything worked as advertised.
