My Accord's locks stop working more than 2 years ago!! It also has an Avital alarm system (don't know the model number but remotes are gray with 3 purple buttons). The alarm arms and disarms with the remote but the locks don't lock/unlock. The car's lock/unlock switches don't activate the locks either but a faint sound can be heard from the doors. I've tried troubleshooting this rather complicated system with no luck. I do have about 5V going to my switches. My Haynes manual shows that it has a variety of modules relating to the lock system but does not include locations. Looking up under the dash looks scary!!. My local Honda dealer is of no help and wants $75 p/h to fix the problem. Is there someone out there that can walk me through the proper troubleshooting sequence? Do I most likely have a short (all fuses good) or has one control module failed. I'm tired of unlocking my doors with a key and to sometimes trigger the alarm because I couldn't see the led flashing on the dash. Thanks all.
Sounds as if your actuators are bad. You can purchase aftermarket actuators for around $20 at most install shops. You will also need relays.

Do it right the first time
This is a Canadian Accord and is an EX model up here. Our top of the line model is called an EXR. MIne is fully loaded minus the power sunroof, the 15" wheels, and the higher output engine.
The actuators are ok. The fuses under the dash, under the hood are good. I'm only reading 5 V (DC). through the CCT.
