I am looking for remote programing for a 98 Dodge Dakota. I have the original keyless entry remote but want to add an extra. Any help would be great.

From my info, it looks like you need dianostic equipment (scan tool) to be able to program extra remotes.

Thanks for the input. I have been wanting a reason to get a scan tool. Looks like now is the time. Do you happen to know what procedures I need to follow to program this remote.

No, sorry. The book I have just mentions that you need a scan tool.

the remotes i have for my car are easy to program.  you press the 'stop' button on the remote, and hold the brake down for 5 seconds, and bamo.  the remote works with the system.  then again, i have a POS bulldog remote starter so *shrugs*
