Hey guys,
I just purchased a compustar 2wss-as and I was wondering if you could tell me what the difference between the CM3000 and the other models are. I have that model, and I got a 1 way and a 2 way remote, so hopefully you guys can tell me if I will be able to have both remotes programmed at once. Also, I got this alarm for a good price, but I am reading that some functions need a special programmer to set them up and I am hoping I can still get the 2 aux outputs set up (pulse, latch etc) without this programmer. I have installed a more simple alarm before and am hoping I can tackle this one with no problems. Thanks guys

I also need to know if it is okay to use the ignition wires on the car to hook up for powering the alarm, like the ACC, full time 12V and the 12V when key is turned. Thanks again

If you bought a 2W SS, you would only have gotten one remote, as it is only  capable of storing one remote, if you got a 2way and a 1 way remote you most likely have the 2W FM  AS

and when installing the alarm, you can use the wires directly off the ingnition switch on MOST vehicles

Actually I believe the SS will accept one 2 way LCD and an additional 1 way remote. Originally the SS would only accept one remote, but they've updated it so you can add the optional 1 way.

If the antenna has the blue sticker, it is a newer model and will work with 1 2-way remote and 1 1-way. Just to prove it, it's hooked up and working in my garage :-)
Thanks guys.
