I agree with draasch and I had a similar problem ,maybe your alarm has to "learn" the tac signal assuming you have everything connected correctly. Also some alarms you need to select a lower voltage read setting on the alarm depending on the alarm and car model voltage output on the tac signal if it cannot read the signal, or select no tac signal read on your alarm to see if it stays started

Depending on the type of remote start system you have it wont work untill you program the tach signal then it will work propely (prestige works this way)
