Car: 94 Mustang GT
Alarm: Lynx 2000R

My remote start will start my car for about 5 seconds and then it turns it right back off again. It almost sounds like the engine is started, but the starter is still trying to start it. I could be wrong. I don't know if my car has a second ignition wire or not, because I only have the alarm hookup to one right now. I got the wire IDs from this website, so I am assuming that they are right.

Can anyone point me in the right direction??

Thanks for the help!!!

I agree with draasch and I had a similar problem ,maybe your alarm has to "learn" the tac signal assuming you have everything connected correctly. Also some alarms you need to select a lower voltage read setting on the alarm depending on the alarm and car model voltage output on the tac signal if it cannot read the signal, or select no tac signal read on your alarm to see if it stays started

Depending on the type of remote start system you have it wont work untill you program the tach signal then it will work propely (prestige works this way)

you might have to reprogram your tach wire.
