The alarm I just installed came with one of those push-pin type switches for under the hood. I can't find a good place to hook it so I was thinking of getting a tilt sensing switch ( I believe they are mercury). Anyone know where I could get one?

Try an electronics store - you will find a bare two lead switch that you can easily hook up for a fraction of the normal cost - try here.

I have had problems with pin switches rusting and being ineffective - go with the mercury for sure.
