You need to find the pellet. Undo the plastic around the column and look there.

I love cheap people....you should have bought the correct bypass in the first place. If you can't find the pellet, you are screwed.

If he can't find it, won't it have to be towed to the Ford place to be hooked up to the machine to have a new master programmed to it?

Yeah, that's what I meant when I said he was screwed.
He'll probably be out almost $200 now for towing, programming and new keys versus spending $30 for a bypass module in the beginning.

I don't think you need a master key with this car...check the attachment under programming instructions "B".

Sorry for the image, I had to keep it 30kb or less. Send me your e-mail and I can send you the original document if you can't read it from here.

Mr. Fusion, I can't really read what your image says but it probably has something about how to program additional keys using only one key. Problem is, the original poster has NO working keys left.

Not according to this...this procedure is for programming a NEW master key WITHOUT any existing keys. This is supposed to work on the earlier Ford PATS systems like the '97 Taurus. I can send anyone the original JPG if they would like to see it.

Mr. Fusion, I saved that jpg to my computer and opened it from there. I was able to barely read it at that point. Can you send me a copy in case I ever run into that problem on a customer's car?
jschaefer@cartunesetc.com
Thanks.

muaiad97, I do believe I know a way to bypass the PATS system on that car. I won't post it here for security reasons, but PM me if you want the info. It would help you to get the car running, but I would still suggest you get the PATS working again after you can obtain some keys so you can make a new master copy.
