hey guys and ladies..i have a '92 chevy camaro..and it the remote start wont work. I f i place the key in the acc position it turns no problem with the remote start. but its when i take out the key and try to remote start it all u here is the chiming of the ignition.

I do believe i nee to ad some sort of transponder..or sumthing. please help ASAP........thanks!

if there is a small resistor in the key you have VATS.  you need a relay and a few resistors that make the same value as the resistor in the key, there are instructions on this web site.  if you dont have VATS check the tach wire, or run a tach wire if you didnt in the first place.

you need to bypass the VATS system. which will require using a relay and a resistor that matches the "Ohm" rating of the chip in your key. If its a DEI alarm (Viper,Clifford..etc..) there will be a diagram and instructions in the install manual on how to bypass it for the alarm. Or check the diagrams on this site. I have a 90 Firebird and had to do the same bypass.

VATS, it's not that bad to bypass. had to do it on my girlfriends 94 grand prix
