To be specific, it is a Thor alarm, and its asking for the oil sensor wire, to let it know when the car is successfully started. I believe the tach wire only shows 6v, but is there a way with resistors, to convert those 6v into 12v? Or should I just go on the hunt for the oil sensor wire?

Hmmm.. How do I test or read to find out which wire is the oil sensor wire? You wouldnt happen to know what the oil sensor reads would you? TIA

pull out your gauge cluster. and test the back clip when the car is off but the key is in the on position the oil light should be hot 12v+. test all the wires and write down which ones are 12v+. then start the car and the oil light should go dead. when you think you've found it plug the gauges back in and keep your meter on that wire. watch the gauges and the meter as you start your car and you should be able to tell if you've got it.

Car is a 98 Civic EX auto tranny. Anyone know which wire is the oil light wire? If not, then I'll go ahead and try jc's method.

Thanks to everyone who helped though :)
