Good Afternoon,

Rather than make a mistake and post later, I figure I will post now.

I am installing a R/S in my wofes 02 Caravan, I am unfamiliar with the keysense, GM I have dealt with before. I bought a DEI 555U and before I start I was wondering if anyone knew the details of how this is wired (Car end). All wiring diagrams I have found simply state if it is a grey key, you have keysense, but they do not provide details about the hook up or wiring colors. I do have the grey key. Any assistance greatly appreaciated.

If you have a 555u, you don't need key sense. It should have a harness with a loop on the end, black wiring. Then there should be another harness, I think red, white, and blue. The red goes to constant, the blue to your remote start neg. output, and the white is unused as long as you have that loop. It goes around the key cylinder. Directions showing that should have come with it.  You may however, need two keys to program an additional key that will have to be placed inside the 555u, unless you have a code seeker like me and you just plug into the car.

I was given the unit w/ out instructions from a buddy, followed what you said and it now works.

    Thanks,
