I have a 1995 Millenia, and I am not good with the whole resitor thing, and it says that using a 1000ohm resistor on the Light GREEN/ Red (-) wire will disarm the factory. Why cant you just cut that wire and that be that? Also, the millenia has Neg door locks and needs no resistor right? Because the diagram says nothing about a resistor on the door locks, but I was told otherwise by a local alarm shop.
that wire for the factory alarm needs to see a neg. pulse that is not a full value......in better words, that wire needs to see a weaker ground and thats where the resistor comes in. it restricts the flow neg polarity through that wire.
OEM Alarm Disarm LIGHT GREEN/ RED (-) DRIVER KICK PANEL *
you can use the cahrt on this site to find out what the color bands are for the disarm wire.....also for your door locks....
you have two options for the door locks:::::
Power Lock RED / BLACK DRIVER KICK #217
Power Unlock SINGLE WIRE SYSTEM PANEL *
#217- See Single Wire Resistor Door Lock System Circuit * RED / BLACK (Or BLUE / YELLOW In Passenger Kick Panel) Wire Requires Chassis Ground To Unlock The Doors And A Chassis Ground Thru A 1K Ohm Resistor To Lock Doors. Door Locks Can Also Be Done As A Negative Pulse System At The Door Lock Timer Below Thr Rear Seat On The Passenger Side, Lock- GRN/WHT Unlock- WHITE/ BLUE. See Note #201- Negative Pulse Door Lock Diagram.
