Hi,

I'm putting this 3 basic rules out so others don't have to go throught what I went throught this weekend trying to install the rmote start on 2003 Nissan frontier S/C.

Rule #1) I found pre-exsiting connections provided by the manufacture for the built factory security system. My truck came with remote entry only but I found wires that went to the left side of the driver side panel that were not connected to anything.  The rule is:  USE THOSE wires, it will save you a lot of time

Rule #2)  Connect the 2nd ignision wire on the ingnision harness to the remote strat or the vehicle will not start.  at first, I only connected the one ignision wire. The truck cranked but did not strat.  After researchng it, I found information saing that all nissan vehicles have 2 wires so I connected the 2nd wire and the truck strated right -up.

Rule #3)  You need 2 diods to connect the door triger wire to bot driver and passanger doors (See the alarm section on the12volts.com).  If you connect to the doom light you will have all kind of strange problems because the doom light is on delay and it wil come on automaticly when you dis-arm the alarm and the alarm will think someone opened the door.

Good luck

LM
