I purchased a Prestige APS 996a from a retailer at NYC. But they only connect the courtesy light of vehicle as the means to set off the alarm. I have a 2003 Buick Lesabre and it has a light sensor if outside is bright then the courtesy light will not on. The retailer is not take any responsibility and ask me looking for way to disable the factor features.

Can someone provide the info where are the door triggers of my 2003 Buick Lesabre? I want to ask the other shop to correct it. Searching from internet that GM cars may have two door triggers? Do you know the exact locations? I have two Diode 1N4003 from RadioShack. Are they good for connecting the triggers?

I guess the other shop doesn't care about you too much. Any shop that treated a customer like that shouldn't be doing alarms. I guess they only warranty their installs at night time. You must split the brown negative trigger from the alarm into four diode isolated lines. Each door trigger is only found inside each door. It goes into a door module inside each door and is turned into a data signal the computers share. Run one of the four isolated triggers into each door. The driver's door module has gray/black wire for a doorpin wire. All three other doors use a dark blue wire inside each respective door. Hook up to all four wires and your alarm won't care about what time of day or night it is. It will respond to any door opening.

Thanks for all the reponse from the respective members. My 2003 Lesabre does not have dome light because of sunroof. It has a reading light on the roof near rear view mirror but it is managed by the light sensor. I get to be very selective for the shop doing the above 4 doors triggers hookup.

GMDAA
does doorlocks and gives a (-) door trigger output.
As well it bypass's antitheft during remote start.

I hate to tell you Extreme1, but it doesn't work. The GMDAA will only work at night like his original install. It uses the underdash light as the trigger, but the light only works when it's dark. Hey Philipckny. Even though your car only has the front dome light, the rest of the car is the same. Have the shop run wires into each door and diode isolate them.
