i've been having alarm problems ever sinve i got this car.  i'll arm it, and 5 min. later, the alarm goes off, i thought it may have something to do with the way i installed my cd player, but i'm having difficulty finding help with those questions.  so, now, my question, is, how do i "un-install" this factory "anti-theft" device?

it's a 1993 mitsubishi diamante . in order to arm the alarm, i have to lock my doors, but as i said, i cant set the alarm with out it going off..i need to lock my doors!  Please Pleas someone help me!

according to the manuals i have there is a BROWN / green wire that should be coming in from the drivers door. i seem to remember it as GREEN/ red or RED / green but that may have been a newer car. either way test the wires from the door what you are looking for is a wire that goes to ground as you turn the key in the drivers door to unlock. once you find this the best way to permantely disarm the factory system is to put this wire to a ground point in the car , just becareful as this might also unlock the doors  as well and if this happens than you will have to find some other way probably thru mitsu dealer.  good luck . if you still have q's email me direct   :   securinu@attbi.com
