Just as the subject says, Is there a recall of some sort on the viper 790XV remote start/alarm transmitter??  My remote works only when it wants to.  It locks almost everytime but does not function in any other way.  Today it all of a sudden worked, every button, and that was after I dropped it.  Then it stopped a minute later.  I am  assuming it is the remote.  If there is no recall, does anyone have re-programming instructions for a new remote and suggestions for what remote to buy??  Thanks Jeff

Recall....no

Do they break all the time....yes

If you have a warranty...use it.

If not, buy a remote from the 791XV.

Programming instructions:
Turn key on, hit valet button 8 times, press a ninth time and hold. Siren chirps 8 times....hit lock on remote. Release valet button.

I called them and I was able to send in my 790 remote and they sent me a 791 Remote. My 790 antenna broke off which I guess was a huge problem they were having.

When the new Clifford/Viper alarms came out I sent my whole alarm in and got  a brand new one. I was having a lot of problems with it. I had the Clifford RS3. It was driving me nuts. I'm glad they went to a dark color because the white remotes were getting very dirty. Does anyone have a problem with the battery going dead really quick. I get about month or a little longer out the batteries. I don't have the light on so I don't know what the issue is.

i called to replace for my friend and DEI rep said i needed a receipt or go to the place you bought the unit (CCity) and tell them to reprint the receipt. that CCity has move to another location which i need to find but how?

what the heck should i do now? i got three remotes on my hand, yes he went through 3 of them, and need one to be replace.

he bought this at CC and i installed it for him like 2yrs ago. will the warranty cover it?
