Hi, I have an 04 accord with a factory alarm. The only problem is that the alarm does not have a shock sensor, it only goes off if a door is opened. I don't really want an aftermarket alarm because the key serves as the remote as weill. I also have the DEI dual stage shock sensor. I want to know if I can add the dual stage shock sensor to the OEM alarm. If I can, can anyone give me a wiring diagram to do this. (which wires to hook up the sensor to the oem wires. I have found the brain and see the plugs coming out of it.) Thanks all.

I"m not an expert but since this one is sliding away I'll put in my two cents. There are a couple of other posts on how to do this. You will need a relay to only arm the sensor when the car is turned off. This is so you don't get a door ajar warning going down the road. I'm pretty sure you need a normally closed relay hooked up to the ignition wire. Then you should be able to tie your primary alarm wire from the 1st stage into the door trigger or hood trigger wire. Not sure if you need to diode isolate or not. Then you could hook your second stage, warn, up to a piezo speaker from radio shack I'm thinking or a relay that powers an low chirping speaker. Then when the ignition is off and the factory alarm is armed your shock sensor should show polarity just like an open door. You should verify your door or hood trigger is a negative trigger. I'm sure some other people will give you some more advice on this.
