This might sound like a stupid question but where does the hood pin switch go on a alrm installation??????  And what is it used for?????  Im just a amateur and tomorrow im going to install my first alarm ever!!! help

The hood pin switch is usually mounted on the side or front of the hood track of a vehicle.  It is used to provide security when someone is attempting to break into a car and would like to cut the wires to the siren. 

I personally do not install hood pins because they rust quickly from moisture and rain.
