Ok here is the run down,

All installed everything except the air conditioner and radiator fans and what not turn on when it's remote started, as soon as i put the key in and put it in the second position, it all turns on.

my theory is something went wrong with the second ignition wire...seeing as tha's basically what fixes it...with the key anywho.

Could anyone tell me what all is supposed to be tapped into the second ignition wire, and/or what else would cause this problem?

Your alarm has a second ignitions wire located in the red harness.  Did you hook that one up?

The second ignition wire is hooked up, could the problem be that we only tapped into one of the red 12v leads, and if my car has two 12v leads at the key switch then it is basically not getting power when needed? just a thought.

Ok so i just double checked how he had it wired up, he has the pink wire going to ignition one pink/white going to ignition two, and has both the red wires tied together going to ignition one wire....should i run one of those red wires to the ignition two? tha's the only possible thing i could think of cuz everything else seems to be connected right.

What did you use for your primary ignition lead and your accessory wire. My notes tell me that there is no 2nd ignition wire. It sounds to me like you have your ACC & your IGN switched around.

ok here is the situation

1998 acura integra LS w/ viper 791xv

installed alarm worked fine for a week or so no problems what so ever.
I drive to work this morning and i hear a very slight faint clicking noise coming from under the dash. so i pull over turn the car off and make sure no wires are uncovered by some odd freak chance, and/or touching anything. It was all fine i start the car back the noise was gone. so i get to work come out to my car and remote start it, then put the key in and drive off...come back turn car off and just listen to radio, try to start it again with key and no luck at all...but the remote start works fine.

Question is...could it be a fuse blown in one of the wire harnesses, or could it be that when i tryed programming some of the diff options eg/ time for remote start and short run, that i messed something up listening for the chirps. could it be valet mode...or something else that i haven't thought of?

I just ordered a bitwritter cuz the chirps confused me, it should be here by next tue or wed. then i could double check all the settings and what not.

yes starter kill is hooked up, if you mean when you had to splice the starter wire and connect it to the alarm...if it's a seperate module...then no it's not hooked up

ok then should should have cut the BLACK/ white starter wire of the car and connected the side from the key to the green wire on the starter kill relay and the side going to the starter and the purple remote starter wire to the black wireof the relay. if thats what you did it sounds like when you start it with the key, powers not getting past the relay, but with the remote start its on the other side of the relay so its starts, check your connections

that part is wired correctly, because it worked fine for a week i could start it remotley or with key.

odd that it would just stop working...

it could be a bad solder joint... if the installer used solder.  must most likely its a bad t-tap or whatever other sh*tty connectors people feel like using... on the green wire is my point.  it might not be getting the 12v from the key cranking.

alright i'll double check it when i get home from work tommorrow.

one more Question, while i have your attention, since i can't trust the installers at CC(where i work) (they DID NOT install it.)

I haven't hooked up my parking lights. i've attempted but can't seem to get the m working, when i previously only had keyless entry CCity had it wired without a relay and it worked fine...
all wiring diagrams i am coming across say it's a RED / green wire in a plugin ontop of the fuse box...if i tap directly into this wire it does not operate..so i figured...ok let me try wiring a relay up...so i used the12volt.com 's guide to wiring up a relay...wired exactly as stated..and still no luck, any clue ? I know it's gotta be something simple.

Parking lights (+) should be RED / black in green plug above fuse box. It could be one of those damn butt connectors came loose for the starter problem. Definately check to make sure none of the wires came loose on the starter wiring.

for the parking lights if you look at the fuse box you will see a bunch of empty spots were plugs could go that just had blade terminals in them, if you have a dmm one of those will work, just meter each blade terminal and see which one gives 12v when the parking lights are turned on.

remember that on viper alarms you have about 30 seconds to start your car after disarming before the kill switch, relay, kicks in and cuts power to your starter.i have the 350hv and it used to happen to me often.if this happens turn key to the on position then back  off, within 10 t0 15 seconds press your valet switch the number of times you have it progrmmed to disarm your alarm then crank your engine. if this does not work do check you wiring.

From what your saying about your alarm situation, I think I might have a possible solution.  You said you were driving and all of a sudden you heard clicking noises and that is when your key wouldn't start the car anymore.  I think that clicking noise is a relay energizing, one relay in particular, the starter kill relay.  Something, maybe a frayed wire could be touching a ground maybe, but something had to be energizing a relay to make some clicking noises.  From there, the series of clicks could have fried the starter kill relay and have it stuck in an open circuit (meaning the starter kill is permanently engaged, not letting the current from a regular key start flow down through the starter.)  Now your remote start should still work because the remote start tap is after the starter kill straight down to the starter.  From what you stated, this sounds like a feasible diagnosis.  So have the starter kill relay checked out, i think its fried or permanently energized.  Good luck
