Well, this is my first time, and I've spent all morning working on this alarm. Please help asap if you can, so I can finish this today. First problem is the trunk pin. it says blue/green wire in 18 pin grey plug left of driver fuse box. I hooked this wire up, and it didn't work. Any ideas? Second, I'm having trouble finding the tach wire for remote start. Direct wire says blue wire, tach test connector is a 2 pin connector near the air intake on the driver side shock tower. There's only 1 two pin connector I see, and the wire is blue/green, and very hard to access. Is this the correct wire? Is there somewhere else I can connect to? That's it for now. Thanks!

You can usually find tach at the instrument cluster on Honda's, it will still be blue. Reads about 5 to 6 volts AC at idle and increases when you rev the engine.
In the engine bay the wire end in a connector that is not plugged into anything. The end has a rubber boot on it. Its usually taped to another harness with a piece of white tape or blue tape.
Did you test the trunk wire? Please tell me you are using a meter and not just hooking stuff up. What did you hook it up to on the alarm?

I do have a dmm, but so far, the wiring chart has been ok. What do I set the dmm to, and what am I looking f or? I'm hooking it up to the blue wire on the main harness. I found the tach wire in the engine bay. Thanks :). Also, any idea how to take apart the steering column to install the bypass module? I took out whatever screws I could see, but it's still hanging on.

Also, any idea how to wire the 451m relay to work with my + trunk pop? I didn't buy a relay yet, and figured I'd use the 451m if I could :).

white wire above to pin 87 of relay
neg out put from alarm to pin 85
12 volts to pins 86 and 30
you need to fuse pins 86 and 30 with a min. of 10 amp fuse...... ------------- Good Luck

Just wanted to say thanks to Jworm, and draasch for being so patient with me and answering my questions. I've got about 3/4 of the alarm installed. Still need to do the 530t's. Also, I don't have the brake or neutral safety switch hooked up yet, but when I remote start, I hear relays clicking and flashing my lights. Is this normal? And when I actually get in the car and start driving, what turns off the remote start? Is it the brake switch? Is that why you have to put in the key and turn it to on before stepping on the break? Becuase right now I have to turn it off with the remote. Also, is it ok to cut the wires of the antennae and extend them? I mounted the antennae at the top of my rear window, and need to extend the wire to reach the alarm brain up front. Finally, the most difficult thing seems to be finding a place to mount everything! There's just not a lot of room under the dash! Oh, and the range isn't anywhere close to 1/4 mile :(. More like around 100yards. Does this sound normal?

There's a lot of white wires in that area :(. Any idea which one, or how I can test it?
