My neighbor just got a car from his  cousin.  It had been sitting for a few years and has some kinda alarm that does nothing.  It seems that It has a starter kill that does not work, siren doesnt work and he doesnt have the remotes.  He asked me to remove it for him cause it keeps going off and the lights flash till the battery dies.  Can I go in and just cut the damn thing out or are there wire that will have to be reconnected and spliced back together?  I know with a starter kill you would have to reconnect the ignition wire but the starter kill doesnt do anything so do I even need to worry?

Thanks for all the help,

Eric

probably i think the easiest way to do it is to find the alarm brain and just unplug the main wire harness. before you junk everything try to start the car. to see if it works. but if there was a starter kill it may work now butim not to suure the way it was hooked up. but the best thing to do so he donest get stranded is to take out the starter kill relay and rehook up the ignition wires so its all back to normal. you can leave the wire harness for the alarm in there if you want just make sure that you tape it up good so it wont short anything out
